Default Quick question about rod length

I have a 4.125" crank going in a LQ4 bored 30 over well would it make sense to use 6.2" rods or the 6.125" rods this is going to be a N2O setup BTW.

Thanks

You'd probably be better with the smaller rods. If I'm thinking correct and longer the rod the higher the piston pin which makes the ring land smaller(not good for N2O)

Could be wrong though

Your best bet is to contact the manufacturer of the pistons you are going to be running and see what type of piston they recomend and what is the longest rod you can fit with that type of setup. The reason you want the longest rod is so you reduce the angle of the rod in relationship to the cylinder wall. The larger the angle(smaller rod) the more the force is of the piston skirt on the cylinder wall.

Some pistons can have the wrist pins moved up on the piston without the sacrifice of ring land area through the use of wrist pin inserts.

Yup, if you're going to spray it I'd pick the pistons first and get a good ring stack.
