Okay, so I got the old seal off, and the new one on, but, what is the white ring that came with it? Where does it go? I looked about installing it around the crank, but, it won't fit ( I don't think )

Is it an extra part? The seal on the front timing cover didn't come with this white ring.

I think that would be called a seal protector. Toss it out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
