Here is a little easier to read format. I do not know what the middle numbers are.

Code:
         Before
Lift	????	CFM	Improvement
1	25	74
2	43	127
3	69	204
4	83	245
4.5	91	269
5	96	284
5.5	66	295
6	68	303

         After
1	28	82	8
2	51	150	23
3	70	207	3
4	88	260	15
4.5	94	278	9
5	98	290	6
5.5	68	303	8
6	70	312	9
6.5	71	317	N/A

the middle is the percentage it flowed in range 3 on the flowbench then once it got close to 100% of that range they switched to range 4....decent numbers I suppose, what size valve?

Well here's another thread of a before and after with the Dart 225. Just food for thought.

I had a set of PRC Dart Stage 2 heads that I sent back to Dart due to oil control issues. In return, the replaced my heads with some that they did a clean-up job on. They sent me full flow sheets from both sets of heads. In fairness, all flow numbers were achieved on Dart's inhouse flowbench.

PRC ported Stage 2 Darts

Intake...........Corr CFM.......%Exh/Int
.200............146.7
.300............210.6
.400............267.3
.500............302.1
.600............310.3
.700............308.1
Exhaust
.200............103.3............70.4
.300............143.7............68.2
.400............182.2............68.2
.500............207.1............68.5
.600............223.0............71.9
.700............232.3............75.4

Darts with cleanup work performed at Dart (not sure if 205 or 225 ports)

Intake...........Corr CFM.......%Exh/Int
.200............149.3
.300............205.1
.400............261.5
.500............293.2
.600............319.5
.700............334.0
Exhaust
.200............111.7............74.8
.300............153.3............74.7
.400............190.3............72.8
.500............218.0............74.3
.600............228.8............72.5
.700............235.7............70.6

All flow work was performed on a 4 inch bore with radiused inlets and no exhaust port adapter. I don't have flow numbers on what the box stock Darts flow, but I am sure someone on here has flowed a set. If not, call John over at Dart and I am sure he can get you some hard data.

Hope this helps!

Oil problem is NOT common. Just about the only ones that had the problem were the ones ported by PRC. They no longer port the Darts that I know of due to this problem.

Yeah I am fairly sure PRC has NO idea what they are doing. Think they had basically a total recall on ALL those dart heads they ported.

Man, your bitterness for us not hiring you doesn't show at all. We haven't sold ported Dart heads in over a year. Good work again Sherlock.

I agree... I feel bad that the Dart heads got a bad reputation due to work done on them by someone else. I think many people shy away from these heads due to all the problems with the PRC ported heads. I love mine. They are a great heads and you can't beat the price. I know I could have bought "better" heads but I just didn't want to spend $2000+. I bet PRC is not on Dart's christmas card list anymore!!!

The problem with the oil consumption was not a PRC problem. The problem was from faulty valve guides from Dart. This is a "beating a dead horse topic" no need to reopen this discussion.

All the benches are going to differ some. If you look at your before numbers compared to the PRC ported numbers, they are similar. Doesn't mean either are wrong but only shows to the issue of comparing results from different setups.

Do you have more information on their setup?

And still since 2007 haven't heard of oil issues.
What i find funny on here is that guys ask questions on here everyone tells them to do a search.
Dare search and bring back wn old thread and someone got to criticize for bringing back a thread to life.

Yes I'm getting a set of Dart heads Today and looking to send them out for port work.

As you can see, there were some hotly contested oil issues with the Dart heads. From my reading, some were due to over porting and later Dart was having issues with guides. I belonged to another forum (now closed) where there were several builders using Dart heads and were running into too much guide clearance and later guides misaligned with the valve seat. One stopped using their heads because the corrections we're getting too costly.

Fast forward to today. AI I using Dart cores very successfully so I believe issues of the past have been corrected.

I ran Dart 205's when they first came out with no problems at all, however they were as cast.

Have you considered AI? Also, Bauer Racing did a lot with Dart 225's in the past and should be very familiar with them.
