Default Honing an LS1 Block.......

After tearing down my motor I noticed that were grooves in almost every cylinder wall. They are nothing too terrible.

I need to know the max that I can hone the block and still use a stock piston and stock rings.

GM High-Tech Performance mag has had some excellent write-ups about honing the LS1. I know my '98 can only go .005, but I'm about sure the '99 can do .010.

Why go stock on the rebuild? You mean stock size, right? I'd be doing forged, fershure! Rods, rings, pistons, bearings. You ain't running those 11sec times outta *love* for that bottom end, are ya?

I'm broke, so I am just getting the car back on the road in a timely fashion.

I will be building a forged motor here shorty I hope. Atleast this way the car will be back on the road in a week or so.
