Any ideas on the pros and cons or gains?

A solid roller wont make a ton more power than a hyd. cam,but it will accelerate MUCH faster down the track.

If you have any questions, just e-mail me.

Solid Rollers are awesome.. I thought of this myself, but having minimal tools and butterfingers I decided not to have it done. Changing spark plugs is as far as I go.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> My hands are really too big for that. I get scratched up bad..

You will periodically need to adjust the valve lash.

And our 99 SS project car was ran for an entire year and driven daily with a solid roller setup and the valve lash never needed adjusting but it still needs to be checked periodically.

if you don't mind having to deal with the regular maintenance of a solid roller then it is definitaly the route to go for max power on a heads and cam setup.......but IMO I would rather still make real good power with a hydrolic and not have to worry about the maintenance of a solid. There are plenty of hydrolic head and cam motors making 420+ rwhp with the proper heads...I'd look into one of these setups before you go into a solid roller. If you do decide solid roller is for you try to contact Jason99T/A since he went that route once with the help of Thunder Racing I believe.
good luck with your decision,
Rick

Thanks Rick.

My current setup puts down 425.6RWHp & #89 RWT.

I was ondering what kind of RWHP a solid roller would generate.
