TR 220/114 or 224/114??????
TR 220/114 or 224/114?????? I was going to go with the TR 220/114 but now have the chance to buy a new unused TR 224/114 from someone that won't be using it.
1) Will this cam work without programming?
2)Will I get a decent idle?
I am not keen on spinning the motor up to 6700.
3)Will this cam make the same kind of power as the 220/114 if I only rev to say 6400 rpm?
My car is a M6.

Re: TR 220/114 or 224/114?????? I have a M6 w/the 224 installed set with a 6700 limiter and shift light at 6400....I am extremely happy with this setup. Pulls hard through the shift and I believe I could bump up 200 rpm, but am getting used to the new setup (it ramps fast from 5000 up). BTW, get a shift light if you don't have one. I installed Harlan's in the defroster vent located in the driver's pod....pretty cool. I run the MAFT for tuning and only have it set at 4% lean WOT and 0% base...I was 2% lean adjustment before install. I believe most of my rich condition is caused by the hi-flow exhaust I have (ie Macs,RT cats,LM) and not the added cam setup.
The 224/114 is a proven performer w/out "tuning" on a M6 with stock idle.

BTW, do get the titanium retainers....TR's price for them with the package is worth the piece of mind....
