Okay, I've got most of the parts for my cam awaiting under my bed. All I really need, is the cam. I"ve talked to LG about this a little, but wanted some opinions from others. I was just going to go with one of their smaller G2 cams they had before the G5. But they've suggestd otherwise to me. Im not planning on putting a stall in my car, so I told them the G5 wasn't really an option. However, they e-mailed me saying I could get it on a 114lsa for a better idle. They will be doing PCM tuning so I figure with the 114lsa and PCM tune, it will idle pretty decently. But for some reason im still unsure about it. My car is a VERY daily driven a4. Plus, I don't want my tranny and rear to call it quits 5-miles down the road after getting it installed. I am still very open to this, just wanted some other opinions before I make a final desicion.
Thanks,
Ryan

my opinion would have been for you to get a smaller converter before even thinking of the cam swap. that way it would be a low 12 second car with every day driveability.

if you want to go with lg, i would do exactly as they reccomend. nothing wrong at all with a 114 cam.
if your worried about your trans and rear then you shouldnt play this game

I would never recommend any stalls higher than 3200 or any camshafts with less than 114 LSA for a "true" daily-drivable A4 car that is enjoyable to 95% of the public.
But, some of us have higher thresholds of "streetable" and how it is defined.
Tell us what YOU want this car to behave like, and how quick you want it. That will help us.

Tony

Basically, "streetable" to me means I can drive it every day without it being a general pain in the @ss. I don't mind a lope, in fact its desired. just as long as it doesnt die every time I come to a stop or when the A/C is on. I've heard it won't pass a sniffer test, but they'e changed texas inspection where 96 and up don't have to do that. I'll probably stop with modding the car after the cam, so I want the most power possible. Thats why the G5 appeals to me, plus the good expierences i've had with LG.
