Default stroker

I am new to the LS1 engine. I am playing with the bolt ons. I have most of them now, but not getting the power that I am looking for. I really miss the big block 400 I had in the old chevy. I want to know what it costs to build a stroker 382 or 396. What kind of upgrades to the drivetrain as well. Also, reputable companies and names to deal with. I want it to be very durable. This will be a car that I will want for a long while. I would appreciate help. Thanks

Call MTI. they will tell you EVERYTHING you need to hear. May want to try to get Jayson (owner) on the phone. In the past, Ive had issues with the other sales dudes, but they could be long gone by know.

281-870-8787 i think.

You can make some pretty serious power with just adding heads and cam also. I'm guessing with most bolt-ons you have about 360 rwhp??? with a good H/C package and tuning you could be around 440rwhp.

I went 11.6 with heads and cam.

I have gone 11.1 with my mild stroker 422ci.

I'd suggest doing some reading in this section and do some research.

You are looking at like $4000 for the rotating assembly.

Thanks for the help guys. I have not dynoed my car ever. I have 00 Formula. I have SLP LT's, w/ y-pipe and ORP's and Flowmaster Catback. (sounds loud but like ****). I have LS6 intake, ported MAF, 80mm throttle body (original ported). I have the HPP3 (it sucks too), whisper lid. I still have total stock rearend with 2.73 posi. People in El Paso are not too smart when it comes to these cars and I do not trust anyone to do work on my car. Can I ship the car to have it worked on? Also, is there anyone in Texas that has a reputable shop?
