R1 Cam
The stock F-bod cam has more ex than in, for any LS1 year. Peoples just like to be different. I'm thinking the big duration reverse splits are as much about noisy lope as they are power.

The '01+ cam was measured by Thunder Racing on a cam doctor with 192/190 duration @ .050".
I don't know why MTI has the split-duration cam since they typically use single-pattern cams in the majority of their applications. A split-duration cam will lope a little harder, and having added duration on the exhaust will help out poorly-flowing exhaust ports. You know this isn't a problem for MTI if you've seen their flow #'s. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> However, the R1 has been around for a few years now, and the flow of their heads back then definitely was not as great as it is today. That's just LS1 development that's been experienced by every shop.
