Em i burning oil????

Em i burning oil???? Ok today for the first time in my cars life the LOW OIL light cam on.. i did my oil change about just over 3000 miles ago (6500 miles total).. teh change oil light hasnt come on yet.. its only had 3 oil changes, and i remember putting in 5 litres.. i think thats a bit over a gallon.. but don't understand... the car doesnt leak.. and doesnt blow blue.. whats going on??? thanx!

Re: Em i burning oil???? i had the low oil light come on, it felt like i had been raped! i used 1 qt. in 3000 miles. i added 6 qts. last change, along with a new pcv valve and metco breather, and it hasn't happened again. i believe the low oil light comes on when you are 1 quart low. check your oil level often, i do now!

Ya when the low oil light cam on i pulled over and checked my oil before anything.. it was below opertating range... i used sythetic oil last oil change if that matters??? im just worried.. i baught a new car so i wouldn't have to go thro the problems with refilling the oil every week.. like all my other camaros needed..
