Default installing cam. Have Q?

I have an 82 Firebird with a 79 Camaro 350. I am installing a 262H comp-xtreme-energy. Lift .462/.469 Is this a good combo with performer intake, headers, and a holley 600. I may change the intake to a peformer rpm intake about a month or 2.I am also going to port the stock heads and change the springs. I will also ad a stall to the TH350. Will this be a good combo. And how many hours would this take?

better part of a day.
should be a good combo for low end torque.
dont jack with stock heads. aint worth the time. buy a set of vortecs from a scrap yard or from chevy delare new for about 450 for both and you will see much more than those portd stockers.

i would step up in the cam dept a bit tho. get in around the 270 range.

Thanks. I do not want to go to high though. I plan going higher when I get more money to rebuuild the motor.
