Default P0300 and Spring breakage

If I get the P0300 DTC programmed out, how do you know if a spring breaks (hopefully before bending a valve)? Will a different misfire code set and turn the SES on?

I want to be on the safe side but not be annoyed...

I am not sure. You might want to check the Computer Diagnostics & Tuning Section. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
