??Cam & Springs?? Want pass Emmissions!! Please, advise, guys...
2001-SS w/quad-quad; SLP-air box, T56.
I need to pass [smog] test.
Question: What Cam, springs, should I consider?
I will have someone else do the work and tune.

Re: ??Cam & Springs?? Want pass Emmissions!! I have the Thunder Racing 220/.561/114 cam - I'm very happy with it! It'll pass emissions with no problems. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
As for springs, I have the CompCam 918s.... And one of them snapped in half when I was on the dyno <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> (fortunately it was at startup, and not at speed - I was very lucky!) Soooo, you might want to consider something else - maybe Z06 springs?

Re: ??Cam & Springs?? Want pass Emmissions!! The 918 Springs have been very reliable to date, with few breakages compaired to what everybody was using before. I do-not recomend the Z06 springs with that much lift, stay with the 918's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
