ok, i have my motor out of the car because i chipped number 7, i want to just replace the pistons. there is a little scratch on the cylinder wall. im sure going .10 over should be fine

im kind of on a budget so i might be sticking with stock rods, im not sure yet.

my question is, what kind of prices should i be looking at to have a machine shop clean up the motor, bore it just .10 over, and rebalance the assembly and put the shortblock back together.

im debating wether or not it would be cheaper to get a new shortblock from somewhere or just replace the pistons on my current one.
