i know about the duration, but im not going with anything too wild so it should be ok <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
dont forget that the base circle affects clearance too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> the comp cam has a smaller one than stock which is what brought this whole situation into effect in the first place.

as far as checking piston /valve clearance are you setting the valves at a lifter preload or .002 lash. if you are not setting in lash the lifters will pump up at high rpm
