here's what happend:
I was in the middle of installing hooker LT's, and i must have hit the cylinder head temp sensor right above the front-most header bolt on the driver's side. well, it apears as the the plug is still intact, but the sensor has come out of the brass fitting. So, i figured i would just order a new part. then, i started taking out the brass fittng from the cylider head, but when it started coming out all of this red-ish liquid started pouring out. what would this be? oil? should i just drain the oil like normal, then try to undo the fitting? i just want to make sure that i dont screw something up. afterall, This is the most involved mod i have ever done to my car. thanks in advance!

That is just coolant coming out. Just keep the fitting in there until you get a new plug. Then, swap the new part in to avoid a large loss of coolant.
If you did loose some coolant, just top off the level in the radiator when done with the install.
