Default Cam Question

Hey guys..... I have a question for ya..

I have a 01 TA, I am looking for a cam that will give me performance in the 2200 - 6500 RPM range. I have a set of 2001 LS1 C5 Heads that I have not machined yet, but I am looking to get
them ported and polished StageIII(valve intake 2.055 / valve exhaust 1.61) and possibly deck the heads to run 10.5:1 compression. The cam I am looking to put in the car needs to be custom ground, but I am not sure it will pass Piston to
Valve Clearance. Here are the specs that I am looking at:

224/224 Duration
.566/.566 @ .050 Lift
112 Lobe Sep.

Any info you can provide me on this setup would be greatly appreciated.

10.5:1 is about .030 milled off the heads, right? You should be fine. I'm running .581/.588 lift (on stock heads) with no problems. When in doubt, always measure it out.

I am just hoping that it will give me really good results and HP gains. I don't think you can buy a cam like this, it has to be custom ground. I was thinking of changing the numbers a little though...

226/226
.566/.566
112 Lobe Sep.

I want a good choppy idle and I want her to just scream off the line. I want the sound, but performance is as equally important.

Our customers have had great results with the LS1 Hotcam Kit. It includes the cam and springs and retails for $399.50.

that link will take you to a page on our site with all the specs and info of the kit.
