Cam Question
I will be purchasing a cam with in the next week or so. Being on a limited budget it's a one time thing. I have read the many posts on different cams, and I also wrote to several vendors. The only reply I received back so far was from Comp Cams.
My car specs are 2000SS M6 Trans SLP cat-back exhaust,Bilstein Suspension, Auburn High torque Differential 3:42 gears, SLP Air box lid, SLP Smooth bellows, BBK throttle body, K&N air filter, Granatelli MAF.
The only other mod's I have plans for is 4:10 gears and possibly an LS 6 intake. They will not be for several months yet.
Here are the specs on the cam that Comp cams recommended. What do you guys think?
HR113 +2
GROSS VALVE LIFT .532 .538
DURATION @ .006
TAPPET LIFT 273 281
VALVE TIMING OPEN CLOSE
@ .050 INT 1- 41
EXH 49 1-
SPECS FOR CAM INST. @ 111 CENTERLINE
INT EXH
DURATION @ .050 220.00 228.00
LOBE LIFT .313 .317
LOBE SEPARATION 113.0
ROCKER ARM RATIO 1.70 1.70 REQ SHIP DATE
Any input would be appreciated...

Re: Cam Question
That's an interesting grind that I haven't seen before. The split duration should help your mid-range, but hurt your idle quality. The 220 intake combined w/ only 2 degrees of advance should move your peak HP up to 6K RPMs or so. The relatively low lift will work well w/ stock heads, & keep your valvetrain noises to a minimum.
