Got my car back with the MMS 388!
Ahh! after many months of one little problem after another (such as a blown tranny) my car finally arrived home on the truck from Morgan Motorsports (to Atlanta).
Start it up. Stalls. Call MMS, they said battery is new and needs to learn the idle. After 2 days of driving it it's learned it's idle and starts up cold and does not stall. Cool.
Overall driveability is good. Once the motor and tranny break-in I'm going to re-dyno, hope to beat 411rwhp and 429rwtq that it dynoed at MMS (unlocked converter, I believe).
With a Yank 3000 and 3.15 gears it can spin 315/35/17 BFG drag radials through most of 1st gear and bring the car to a virtual standstill on the viscous 1-2 shift at 6000 rpm (redline is at 6800, but the shift point is much lower for street driving).
Hoping for 11.2s at the track. Given that 100rwhp ago the car ran 12.39 I think it's possible.

Not sure about nitrous. It has forged pistons, upgraded rods and head studs and should be able to handle a big shot but I would need to upgrade my fuel pump first.

99 convertible C5. B&B Touring exhaust. Haven't been to too many GAFBA events lately, even though I have a vette I do go to them occasionally. I'm out of town this weekend though.

Thunder Performance in Acworth did the initial install. Unfortunately the motor was popping head gaskets within 2 minutes. I said f*ck it and shipped the car to Morgan Motorsports. They fixed the motor, dyno tuned it and rebuilt the transmission (which blew up on the dyno, thank god for an extended warranty!).
I'm at Peachtree Industrial and Winters Chapel rd. Come by, I don't mind.
