Default broke a 941 spring

well the other day i was on my way home then all of a sudden i hear this high pitch scratching sound then my car feels like its missfiring, so I turn it off and pull to the side of the road. I try to start my car up and it wont start up. I then gave it some gas while starting it and it started up but was missing really bad. Did your broken valve spring sound the same as mine did? Did you car start up easy when you broke yours? Or did you have to do what I did? I had about 7000 miles on mine. I think the nitrous is what stressed them.
thanks

I had three broken valve springs before my engine died. I know they couldn't have broken all at once but I am surprised the car ran as well as it did <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

<img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> 941 springs

When the last one broke the motor felt like it was trying to shake it's way free from the car. Fortunately no damage was done and a new set of 918s and retainers fixed it.

My #1 exhaust 941 spring broke. I was just driving on the freeway when I heard a pop and noticed that the sound of my engine got weird. As soon as I pull to a stop light at the off ramp my car did. I kind of new it was the valve spring. Was able to limp it to my friends shop, which he replaced it with a 981 spring for now. Waiting for the CC conical springs from Thunder Racing.

BTW, I had about 35,000 miles on the 941 springs. And that is hard patrol miles too.
