my LS1 "using" oil?

my LS1 "using" oil? my low oil light came on friday and i checked the oil and it was WAY below the operating range...it held 2 full quarts 
well it doesn't smoke or anything that i have seen and i talked to the guys who did my head/cam/LS6 intake swap and they the bottom end was clean and looked good...where is my oil goin?
Oh BTW, i dont think its leaking cause its sets on a carport and there is no oil on the ground....
