Default Coolant capacity LS1

If you were to drain a LS1 engine of all the coolant how much would drain out? 1 gallon, 2, 3?

And...how much of that does the throttle body retain (if its not bypassed)?

Thanks
Brent

Throttle body only holds an ounce, if that. It's just a pass through line with no reservoir.

My H/C Install had about 3 gallons of coolant come out. There is more in the block though. When you put coolant back in I just took two gallons of coolant and mixed it with two gallons of water (a little more coolant than water) and put it back in.
