trouble starting with cam i have a 224 112 cam in an auto- i cant seem to start it and just have it fire up without me giving it some gas and helping it along a bit. is this a common problem? i got my pcm back from mti and they tweeked it a tad more than the generic cam program. it idles at 900 now, and once the car is warm, it is fine. doesnt really die at stoplights anymore, and pulls all gears like mad. my only concern is getting the car running without giving it any gas. perhaps i need to make my TB hole larger yet? my IACs were at 65 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> when i first put the pcm in and got it to idle. drove around for a bit and it eventually worked its way down to 38. maybe i should drop it to 30/25? or is that too low? but damn, she pulls like a **** now!

Re: trouble starting with cam Check your plugs... change them.
Check your grounds on the back of the heads, passenger side fender, drivers side radiator support and motor to driver side fender.
Make sure all the Injectors are seated and not sucking air around any of them.
Check the seal around the TB and MAF.

Re: trouble starting with cam ill check those out. im pretty sure the ones on the back of the heads are tight cause i checked those right after i put the cam in...ill check it again though. my guess would be the plugs since it was running rich before i sent the pcm out again...and put about 1K miles on it like that (stockers). i have to take her in for the stupid window motor, and i dont want them sitting there revving it up and trying to start it. MUST ROLL DOWN WINDOW!
