Oil pressure gauge fluttering!!

My 98 has 102k on it and lately(5,000 miles) I've noticed that when the car idles my oil pressure gauge flutters(vibrates). It's got great pressure at all rpm's and it's had Mobil 1 since day 1. It does't seem to do it all the time but I was just curious if anyone else has seen this or had this problem?? Thanks in advance guys!

be carefull, the 98s had a problem with their oil pumps. Its hit or miss thought, I would go ahead and change it to the ported LS6 pump when ever you get a chance.

would you happen to have a part # for the ls6 pump or should i just go through a sponser to to find one?

As long as it isn't fluctuating much, I wouldn't worry about it. Mine has even fluttered back and forth from time to time, and there's nothing wrong with mine. If it is swinging about 5-10 psi, then I'd worry...otherwise, just leave it be.
