I just purchased a B1 cam from MTI. Im also planing on doing headers. After installing the two will i be able to feel a big difference or will it only show on the dyno or at the track. All i have now is a lid and borla cat back. Planning on doin much more mods as soon as i learn what really helps my car. Oh i have a 98 z28 m6.
Thanks John

Re: B1 cam
I put in an ls6 intake in first..didn't notice much sotp from that. Then installed my b1..big sotp.no dynos but 20rwhp or more seems very possible.I have tts headers coming now.Expecting to notice a big increase with the combination of the ls6,b1 and headers and also expect my ported tb to maybe add to the mix now also.I will be pretty happy to break into the 12's on street tires when I get the headers on.So far I have only managed a 13.6 at 107.2 with a 2.27 60ft on street tires. My car is very heavy..3840 on that run approx counting driver but not passenger. And I didn't shift much past 6000.You really need to raise the rev limiter on the b1 to probably 6800 or 7000.I have mine at 6600 but the car revs so fast that I set my light down to 6100 as was hitting the limiter when it was set to 6300.And on my one run above didn't even shift at the light even..buddy was driving car.I took out his weight from the above time and added back the mph..he weighs 250 pounds.I am really hoping with some tuning to be able to get 390 to even 400rwhp
with my mods.Oh yeah I am at 1900 feet above sea level and density altitude the day of the run was like 2400..those times above are not corrected..
corrected was like 13.2 at 110.Tests were done on my tazzo which most say are within .1 on the quarter usually slower and 1 to 1.5 on the mph..usually higher.they can be track calibrated though to make them even more precise.I am pretty pleased with my b1 but sometimes wish I went with the t1 for a bit more nasty lope.
