Best source for air/fuel gauge?

Best source for air/fuel gauge? I used the front drivers side (purple/white) wire as someone suggested. The car ran like crap after a minute and the gauge never lit up. I had this gauge in the car with my old (rotary, he he he) engine. I know it works, but I also only had one place to get the signal from.
So, who knows exactly which one it is???

Re: Best source for air/fuel gauge? I would get and install a new O2 sensor and hook the gauge into it. Just my $0.02 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Best source for air/fuel gauge? I hooked mine up to the passenger side sensor, not the lower one, but the higher one, hooked up the the only purple wire, the car ran like crap for about 10 minutes, but then she came around, i could rev it up and it would just die after it would rev down.
