Default Lifter help please!

I let someone drive my car at the track last weekend and they overreved the car by missing gears in 2nd AND 3rd. Large clanking noise coming from the motor which i thought may have been a pushrod, but i put my stock pushrods back in and the noise did not go away. Valves look ok and none of them are bent, but i think some of the lifters may be fried. How can i check this for sure? Is there a way to check if a lifter is OK or not? None of them are actually broken or anything, but some of them seem flexable in the tip and some seem to not move. Any help would be appreicated considering this is my daily driver and its currently sitting in my garage dissasembled w/ the heads off.

Thanks!

I had a TR230/224 cam in th4e car when this happened, now im trying to put the car back to stock! but im sure the lifters were the culprit when it broke to cause me to take it apart. just don't know which one

If you had hardened pushrods in during the mechanical over-rev, odds are that you bent a valve.
With the head off, look at all of your valves. Is there one or two that are sitting lower than the others?

Have you checked for needle bearing in the oil pan? If you are doing a heads and cam package just buy some comp r lifters. They are cheaper than stock and much better the only problem is I think they are on national backorder.
