i put a set of long tubes on my truck and then drove it to the exhaust shop with open headers, about 1/2 way there the truck started runing very bad, wont idle, missing, flashing ses light. it was about a 15mile drive and 85deg out. any idea why it wont run?
is there any chance of warping valves with open headers? did it just go super rich and then start to foul the plugs? i will get the truck back tomorrow with full 3" duel exhaust and am a little worried that i messed something up on the drive there, the 02's are only about 1" from the end of the open header.

No, you didn't warp the valves, but the O2's being so close to the exit were not reading properly so your truck went into "limp home mode" which basically means you are running pig rich. When you go to pick up the truck, disconnect the battery for about 60 sec. before you drive home...
