Bottom end too worn to build top end?
Why not just get a block and buy the parts as you can afford and do a new engine instead of building on an engine that sounds like it will have well over 100,000 miles on by the time you can do the package. Or save up and buy a rebuilt short block or a low mileage short block and build on that.
That way you can probably avoid doing a rebuild a year or so after doing heads and cam.
