been thinking about it for some time but am concerned with fueling at part throttle.
overlap is hellacious causing the MAP sensor to go beserk
any thoughts on getting a 108 to work in the LS1?

My brothers 5liter mustang had a cam with a 108lsa. It ran fine as long as the rpms were over 2500. It wasnt a big deal.
It would be interesting to see how your car would run with single pattern 240 comp xer profiles on 108lca.
I realize ls1 is a whole different animal compared to the 5 liters. The ls1's seem to tolerate big cams better so it should be fine as long as the rpms are kept up. Seriously, if you can handle the noise of the engine revving higher, just about any cam is streetable.

how about a 240 intake with 230 exhaust and 1 7/8" headers. I think as the cam gets bigger the intake will be more of a restriction so an even larger reverse split cam might be the way to go. I think these number are too drastic but it would be interesting to see the power curve of this cam.
Pave the way! Wasn't it just like a year ago when no one thought your could run smaller than a 112 LSA on the LS1? You might just find out some nice things. Or bad things. Who knows.
how does a larger cam on a 108LSA react with such things as power brakes and vacuum? Is this all in tuning to help it become more driveable? Granted, I know driveability is not the #1 concern

Mine is a 108lsa, if I remember correctly. I don't have the cam card handy right now...
My idle vacuum is ~10in. or so @ 1150rpm.
All things being considered, it has pretty decent part throttle manners.

The guy I know who is running a 108lsa cam on ASA type specs.. Does not venture on the boards.. Next time I go to visit my girlfriends mom I will try to get more information out of him..
ASA cams do have 110 lsa.. This guy is running ASA cam type specs with 108 lsa. Anybody can grind the same specs, but use different lsa's and stuff.. It all depends..
