Best Cam for me?
I've been looking at cams but I'm not sure what I want to do yet. What do you guys think? I will have full bolt-ons. I'll maybe have duals by then, and a 3600 stall converter. I am aiming for about 400rwhp/tq and still very good driveability. This is a daily driven car so I need it to be reliable and run pretty smooth. What cam would you suggest to get those numbers, but to keep driveability very good?

if you go MS3 with a DD make dang sure you have a good tune, I know from experience, but if you want good driveability go TR228R cam, that will give you the 400hp you are looking for and be good on the street.

For a cam-only automatic, limit your intake valve closing point to 42-43 degrees ABDC at .050" to give good dynamic compression and good top-end power. For good street manners, limit your overlap to 5-6 degrees at .050". If you're still running an LS1 intake, you may even consider a reverse split cam. An LS6 intake could get by with a single pattern cam (since your exhaust is very good).

Thats a lot of detail, thanks . Would that give me good torque down lower too? I would like to get pretty good torque down in the upper 3k's at least since my conveter will be around a 3600.
Yes I do have the LS6 intake, but as of right now I have the exhaust in my signature. I may or may not change to duals, but the conveter is definite. If I don't change to duals I will probably be getting a custom Y built for me with the Flowmaster merge, I haven't made up my mind yet. I don't know how much that info will effect what you told me.
Edit: BTW, I just looked at that Trans Am in your sig and I love it.... That would be the ultimate goal for me to reach. One that powerful that can be used easily as a daily driver...
