Default Bore/Stroke Ratio for FI?

I am new to forced induction and know very little other than how it works. I was thinking about building a motor for boost but was wondering what kind of bore/stroke ratio is best for a FI setup. Is it better to have more stroke? larger bore? or equal ratio? I hope you can help me out and thanks in advance.

First thing that comes to mind is its going to be easier to control detonation with a smaller bore.

There was once a long thread in FI similar to this. I dont know if its still there or not though.
