Default Double roller timing chain.

Okay so I wasnt thinking about it when I ordered all my **** for my swap "which starts in about 3 hours" But i didnt order a timing chain. So i called around locally and found a double roller adjustable kit for 114.00 that I can pickup tonight. He said it comes with the gears but does anyknow know if i'll need to customize anything or am i going to have any fitment issues? I'm assuming it has crank and cam gears.. Right?

The slp double roller is thicker, so it comes with shims or washers so the pump will clear. Then you will need to clearence the front cover to clear the pump. I don't know what type of roller you bought, but you may have to do the same thing.

LS1 needs a LS1 chain LS2 needs a LS2 chain. Cam sensor on the front in a LS2

Ummm.. I really dont know what the hell you are trying to say! I didnt say anything about an LS2 chain or sensor.

It's the rollermaster double adjustable timing kit. I noticed it comes with all needed hardware for installation. If i run into any snags, I'll be on here asking WTF to do because i have to have my car running by monday morning.

Well....the LS2 chain works without any modifications at all on a LS1-6. It's quite a bit stronger than the LS6 chain, too.

i got the rollmaster for mine. i had to use the 3 jaw puller to get the crank timing gear off. also the rollmaster i recieved had a bore for the drive pin that was .0005" smaller so it was a real tight press fit. i had use a reamer to open it up a bit. it would not go on at all before i reamed it. i would use something else, LS2 or SLP. save you the headache of finding a reamer. good luck with your install.
