Default Oil consumption after H/C install

I installed S2 heads w/ 232/232 .574/.574 114lsa cam. Since then my oil consumption has increased tremendously. Compression is about 10.75:1. The motor has 45,000 on it. I have been using Mobil 1 and recently changed to AMS Oil 10w 40 to see if it helped. Could this be from higher cylinder pressure causing blow by? Or can it be from my PCV system? How can I tell what is causing it? Should I put some sort of catch can in the PCV line to see how much oil is actually going into the intake? The car is consuming about 3/4 to 1 qt per 300-400 miles! It used to use about 1- 1 1/2 qt per oil change. Getting kind of tired of buying oil every time I drive the car! This is all since the H/C install. Any advise would be helpful! Thanks

If you have the original PCV system on the car then you can be sure that it is slopping tons of oil into your intake ESPECIALLY at RPMS over 6000. I converted to the LS6 PCV and oil consumption at high RPMS was reduced about 85% to 90% but there is definitely still some oil going into the intake . I plan on installing a catch can just to get rid of the occasional puff I get at high RPM shifts.
