How long does the oil pump take to catch prime?
How long does the oil pump take to catch prime? There was a plunger in the back of the block that was left out, so i put it in and now it has only 10 lbs of oil pressure. But none at a standing idle. Do you think the oil pump is tore up? Or what is the problem still? Justin
Re: How long does the oil pump take to catch prime? When I installed an ARE ported/blueprinted pump it took less than 2 seconds for the oil pressure to read. I highly advise NOT running your motor with zero oil pressure for ANY period of time.
