I want to order the 408cid LS1/LQ9 Iron Stroker Short Block from texas speed soon. is there any modifications that need to be done to put and iron block in an fbody or is it a direct drop in?

 

well i bought a LQ9 block the new short bolt design and the alt bracket didnt work. of the three bolts on the front bracket only one of them was drilled and tapped. so i left the middle one out and drilled and tapped the block myself. works just fine its not going anywhere.

i would call TSP there gonna have the best answer for you.
