Don't know where that message went??

.................................
WELL, I finally got around to throwing in the TR224 cam I bought months back....
It was a royal PAIN in the a$$, but it is finally done. We had turnkey about 3am this morning.
It is the 114LSA, yet it struggles to find idle after it is warm, so when I get off the gas and push the clutch in. It is being programmed via LS1 edit tonight.
Only thing i don't get it, right now my limiter is 6000 or 6100.
When I nail it in 1st it spools SO quickly.. A couple times it was "felt" like it's hitting the rev limiter around 5600 rpm's
It's just wouldn't go any further. When I slowly take it up in a gear it will goto 6000-6100.
Could this be that it it spooling SO fast with the cam and 4:10's that it is hitting the rev limiter and the tach is a few hundered off and a little slow?? Or is something messed up. It only seems to do it in 1st gear??
I can't beleive how awesome it sounds throuhg my LT's and ORP's.. It lobes a lot harder than I thought it would being on a 114.
My buddy has the same cam in the 112, and it alomst sounds identical. Any thoughts???

Mine does the same thing. In 1st it will hit the limiter at around 5,600rpms but seems to do better in other gears. I'm thinking of getting one of those shift lights to help things out.

These things rev fast..my b1 and titanium retainers and asp rev real fast..the tachs suck..get a shiftlight..although read one weird post that said his harlan shift light was way out..but something strange there..will check mine again but pretty sure its dead on with my scanmaster and autotap. Also if you are getting it programmed get the rev limiter out of your way..I would say 7000 or minimum 6800 to 6900.I have mine at 6600 and its too close..I only have hpp and 6600 is max on that..stupid hypertech..
I don't really hear much lope off my b1 ,depends on how high you idle it though and I am going thru cats ..think you can hear a bit more lope
thru my cutout though than thru the full exhaust.I do think it makes the cars sound much nicer thru the revs too and with a cutout open it sounds plenty mean..!! Enjoy that new cam..I kind of wish I would have got the t1 now for a bit more lope..oh well...stealth can be a good thing too..LOL
