tr 224 installed!
tr 224 installed! To make a long story short, I got it running. The first time I got it back together, there was no oil pressure. The pump died. Weird, huh? So I put a katech on it and a new chain while i was at it, slapped it together, fired it up, and voila oil pressure.
Time for LS1Edit. This thing rips right up to the rev-limiter!

Re: tr 224 installed! I used the Isky 295-D springs and Ti retainers. I figured since the 114 revs higher, I'd get the lighter retainers, and I think the Isky's require different retainers. Very quiet valvetrain, you cannot even tell. A slight whir noise.

Re: tr 224 installed! I'm running the stock WS-6 exhaust. I don't really see a need to change it, I think this exhaust flows within 3 hp of a catback. And I have yet to hear a catback that sounds good on an LS-1. I've heard borlas, loudmouths (yuk), hooker, and the WS-6.

Re: tr 224 installed! The B&B triflow is the best sounding exhaust on an LS1 IMO. Quiet and refined sounding. The TR224+macs+no cats+B&B triflow was an awesome combo on my car....very nice sounding while not being obnoxiously loud.
