Default Ls1 w/ LS6 heads

Looks like I might have an opportunity to get a set of LS6 heads here in the near future.

What would be gains be with just these heads swapped in place of LS1 (241) heads? I also plan to go with a 231/237 .595/.598 cam at the same time.

Or better year how much better do the LS6 (243) flow better then the 241 heads?

I will be putting Comp 1.7 rockers w/ dual gold springs on them.

What do you guys suggest as far as massaging these heads or leave them stock?

There is a shop over here that does head work.

*yes I searched but it isn't working.

It will be an improvement with the PN 12564243 heads in un-milled un ported form. The intake volume alone is already .010 bigger over the 241/806/853 heads.

Well I know they are better anyway because LS6>LS1.

I just wanted to know if it was a like a 10,20,30hp gain over stock given everything else is stock?

I looked around for flow numbers but for some reason I can't find the site that I did a while back that had ALOT of head flow numbers.

Well, put it this way.

You port and mill some 853's with a valve job and new hardware (the correct way)...it will be comparable to 243's with identical.

They flow around 25cc more with a better shaped port and a more efficient combustion chamber shape.
