shaft mount rockers

shaft mount rockers could i use shaft mount roller rockers in an engine without a solid set up. im just wondering casue i rev the engine to about 6800 and since its a roller tip i fig i would get more power from that and could use it with a thunder cam because its a 1.7 ratio
Re: shaft mount rockers Stock rocker arms can handle 6800 rpm no problem. Ours are half-roller, just the tip doesn't have a roller. That isn't the important roller of the two anyways.
Jesel makes some stock replacements that will fit under the 99+ valvecovers with some grinding under the cover. That is what I have on my motor. Cost is around $700 a set.

Re: shaft mount rockers I doubt you would see much power but jesel is probably lighter and would rev faster, and that means springs would last longer too. I think Jesel rockers are important when you have heavy spring pressure and radical lobes because this is what will pound stock rockers and cause bearing failures IMO. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: shaft mount rockers I had to cut larger seats for my big dual diameter springs and Jesel's but im not sure how big as I am now running a high spring pressure.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
