Still surging after cam a little
Still surging after cam a little I have the TB hole drilled to 15/64 and a small pin hole right above that, and have turned the set screw one turn. Still on start up she wants a surge a tad(have to give some gas right after i fire it up)
then she searches for idle for a good 30 seconds, then idles awesome
should i turn the set screw a little more?? like half a turn??
My IAC's are weird, one minute they average around 30, have been 19 before... now they are around 50 at 199degree temps
BTW: no vacuum leaks that i can find or see

Re: Still surging after cam a little having the same problem. i just installed a set of heads and a tr224 cam. mine hunts for an idle at first startup, then idles ok for the most part. my IAC's are like 25ish w/ the hole enlarged. i think thats a little to low, but it should be ok. i'm told w/ driving the car and custom tuning, it will go away...
Re: Still surging after cam a little ive been playing with edit, but still its there.. Seems like the car wants more air. I just didnt know if the turning the set screw a tad more would help any??
My idles set at 900 also. I can live with it, but i like to see it idle without stalling/almost stalling right after i crank it over.
