Default Help with valve spring choice

I am assembleing a set of ported heads I got used. I want to install a set of dual valvesprings that I can trust with my B1 cam. MTI will not tell me exactly which springs they use. The heads came bare so they will be in the shop for a valvejob so the machineing for the larger springs can be done then. MTI wanted 800+ to reassemble the heads. I am trying to save money. any suggestions

If you want to use a true dual spring without machining the heads, the REV-1116 springs can get you there. There is a vendor (not on this forum) who sells a complete kit requiring no machining. See this thread:

Good luck,

If you are referring to the ISKY dual spring, i belive it is a 6105, MTI just did a valve job and those springs on my heads to match up with a X1 cam. The cost to get the heads machined, new stainless Ferra valves 2.02/1.56, Titanium retainers, locks, and dual coil iskys, after it was said and done was about $1000 with tax.
