Default Best set of heads for...

I'm looking for the best set of heads to go with an ASA cam. If you aren't familiar with the specs they are 226/236 .525/.525 110lsa. I want to spend less than 2k. I really would like something that has LS6 springs as I really don't need anymore than that with the low lift. Besides, it lowers costs anyway. I obviously don't need something that flows great at .600 lift either. Suggestions would be good. I also have a lid, Grots, and a true dual exhaust. TIA

It sounds to me like it'd be a match made in heaven if you could get em unmilled and run a 10.8:1 compression.

Lift Int Exh
.100 65 58
.200 138 113
.300 214 157
.400 261 191
.500 292 210
.525 295 212
.550 285 214
.600 282 218

The only thing that bothered me is that they are milled .055, which may cause p/v clearance issues, and will make your c/r very high. Probably too high for our weather. Maybe call and see if you can get an unmilled set??

Thanks for the help Verbs. Those were my first choice but I heard you're looking at a 6 month or so waiting list...

Might want to look at TEA's Stage II 5.3 w/dual springs. There is a sale on you can probably get them for $1600 with cores and about $1900 without cores. From most of the numbers I've see the TEA's will flow overall a little better than the GM/LPE CNC'd LS6's. The compression will be about 11.0, if you want less go with the dished exhaust valve and you'll get a tad better flow and have 10.9 compression. They are only decked .005 to make sure they are flat. Piston to Valve should be less of an issue with these instead of the milled LS6's and intake should be an issue. Since the heads aren't milled you might even be able to run stock length push rods.
