LS1 vs. LS6 ported heads
I'm confused on the LS1 vs. LS6 heads... or rather, what makes a stock LS6 head different than a stock LS1 head. Also is the 1100 dollar (some are more) core charge worth it for LS6 ported heads?
I don't have LS6 heads, so I'd have to get them ported and pay a core charge. I'm not going with a huge cam (comparable to the T1 cam only with less lift), and I'm only getting the LS6 intake manifold so I'm not going to be port matching.
So is the added cost of LS6 ported heads worth it? And what's the difference between them stock vs. LS1 heads stock?

That would work well with the combo you are looking at.
LS6 heads are good for high lift, big cube motors. They price differential isnt worth it otherwise IMO.
