How to remove oil pan?

I will try that. However, I can barely turn the crank either way because there is a lifter jammed somewhere in the connecting rods. It look like it is stuck on the tranny, not the crank.

This is how I dropped my oil pan today..
Got a top mount motor brace, bolted it to the block, and then started unbolting the k-member just enough to lower it down and give room for the oil pan to slide out. And yes, you will have to unbolt the strut assemblies to do this..
