Poor WOT Oil Pressure
Finished my mods for the winter so I took the car out for a spin. At WOT in 1st above 4500 rpm my pressure gauge drops to just under 40 PSI, then when I clutch in and lift to bang second the gauge shows just under 60 PSI. I did a pull in 3rd gear from about 3000 to redline and my oil pressure didnt dip, it stayed at just under 60 (which I think is low).
My idle pressure (warm) is 40~ and cruise is around 46~. I run Amsoil 5w30 and just replaced my OPSU during my intake swap. I know the 98-00 are prone to failure but I thought they either worked or completely failed.
Any advice or ideas would be nice. Thanks

He's referring to the Just under 60psi on the 3k to Redline pull in 3rd... That's all the advice I have to give, mine is almost the SAME as you, just a shade under 40 at warm idle, WOT in 1st however is higher for me... I don't pay much attention to anything but the road when I'm banging the low gears tho, sorry

It's not jsut that it's low, but it goes up while accelerating then will just drop off to under 40 for the last 1000-1500 before redline. But when I clutch in to shift 2nd it goes back to 60, release the clutch and it dips back down to under 40 and I'm afraid I'm going to cause problems.
