Head Swap Question
Head Swap Question Okay. I've just completed my head swap. I installed PRC 5.2L stage 2.5 heads on my LS1 engine. When I was pulling my passenger side head off my dumb *** didn't disconnect the bracket holding the trans dip stick tube onto the head. So I pulled out the tube leaking probably close to a quart of trans fluid. When I did my test drive I had forgotten about losing the trans fluid. When I went WOT at take off I hit the rev limiter. Question is could this have been from the low fluid level or could it be because I need to get a re-tune after the head install? I had this same thing happen when my tranny was about to take a dump so I had it rebuilt. Hadn't had any more problems with rev limiter since the tranny rebuild until the head swap.
