Default Thanks NINEBALL

A while back I posted a topics asking if I had KR or not, and put a copy of the dyno run.

KR or Not

You took a look and said it was the ever popular valve float all the the LS1s see.

Well you were right on the money.

LunaticTA and I just finished the CAM Install and Valvetrain upgrade using the Rev Double Springs, Rev Titanium Retainers and TR Harden Pushrods.

IT SOUNDS GREAT !!!!
I finally can take it to 6200(6800 once reprogrammed) with no clatter.

Thanks for the great advice. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Does valve float get worse with time? My dyno graph looks like a little kid drew it... I know partially cause of the vig 3600, but I have a dip like that also, and I'm loosing alot of top end now at the track (have lost 5mph).

I think in my case it was my own fault though..... 6600 shifts via HPP3 when I first got the car and new nothing about cars.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Hopefully some heads and cam will fix my problem

Unfortunately my car has always had the valve float. The stock springs must have been just to weak. The new ones are definitely stronger.

Yes horist, valve float gets worse with time. Your springs continue to get weaker due to fatigue.
