Default going to install cam this weekend!!

any tips,and tricks i need to know and should i change timing chain and or oil pump i have 19,000 miles on a 01? some said something about magnets for lifter to hold them up do i need them?tia. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

I didn't use the magnets, but put the TR224 cam in right away. I also upgraded to the Katech timing chain. I think that would be wise. Didn't opt for the oil pump, as I have only 5000 miles on the motor(2002). Get an air compressor and a fitting to fit in your spark plug holes, and set the regulator to 65 psi. This insures your valves don't fall while changing the springs. Just have patience with the valve keepers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

That still gave enough pressure to tap on the retainers to break the keepers lose.
