Default Drilling TB questions....

Installed TEA S2 heads and TR 230/224 this weekend, car starts and actually idles well considering, but its running extremely rich. I need to drill my TB, correct? I think I read the following, but not sure on the specifics: ATAP it, and keep progressively drilling larger until your IAC counts are X. My questions are as follows: What are ideal IAC counts, and are they supposed to be measured hot or cold? Also, I have several P0300 "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected" I assume this is normal, and will have to be programmed out, correct? Thanks, Shawn

Randommisfire is normal.

As far as IAC counts...
check the counts when the car is warmed.
1.) warm the car up
2.) Check IAC counts
3.) drill out a small hole
4.) drive around and check the IAC counts again
5.) repeat step 3 if needed.

FWIW...my SS with the TR 224 Cam idled very well with 60 IAC counts warmed up. Ideally, most people acknowledge that you want your IAC's around 30. However, if your car is idling fine with the IAC's in the 40-50 range, then just leave it alone.

good luck!
P.S. use A-tap
